Was the death of screenwriter Gary Devore in 1997 an improbable accident or an orchestrated assassination? Alford pours over documents for years before deciding on a radical new course. Desperate for an answer for the sake of his own sanity, he flies to Los Angeles to meet the widow and a series of government contacts. Is it really possible for one man from England to take on the CIA single-handed? Perhaps.
